Water Conditioning

In order to prolong the life of your waterbed, water conditioning is extremely important. Using our approved Aqua Fusion 12-month or 24 -month conditioner treatment, will eliminate fungus and bacterial growth, and keep the vinyl supple and soft. Aqua Fusion Bubble Reducer should also be used to eliminate annoying air bubbles and gases in your mattress.

Body Oils

Body oils are acidic and can harm the mattress over an extended period of time. Everyone perspires and these naturally occurring oils permeate into bedding.

As a result, it is important to clean your waterbed mattress regularly using the Aqua Fusion Waterbed Vinyl Cleaner at least once a month. With a light spray and wipe over the complete surface of your vinyl mattress, your mattress will be like new and clean of any impurities.

The Aqua Fusion Vinyl Cleaner also helps in conditioning the vinyl from the outside, which in turn  will result in a longer life of the mattress.

We also highly recommend the use of a Cotton Mattress Protector which can be washed frequently, and greatly reduces the amount of body oils permeating through to the mattress.

Removing Air Bubbles

With the Aqua Fusion Air Extractor, removing air bubbles has never been so easy. Simply pump away those air bubbles to keep your mattress quiet and feeling comfortable all year round.

An excessive amount of air bubbles can also greatly effect the comfort and support of your  waterbed mattress, as the pressure from air pockets push up into your spine.We recommend the Air Extraction or “burping” of your waterbed mattress every 1-3 months.

The alternative to needing to perform an air extraction so frequently on your waterbed mattress is to add Aqua Fusion Bubble Reducer. This product is designed to make air extractions a breeze – simply add it to your waterbed annually, and any   new or reoccurring air bubbles will be removed for up to 12 months. This product should be added annually as part of your waterbed conditioning treatment.

Adjusting Water Levels

From time to time you will need to adjust the level of water in your waterbed mattress as your body physical fitness, weight and size changes over time. As a simple rule of thumb, the more of us there is, the less water you need.

We recommend assessing the water levels annually and adjusting them if you are finding you are sinking into the mattress too much. We also need to remember that heating our waterbed mattresses causes evaporation, which gets removed through the air extraction process, which in turn reduces the water levels.
